Usawa Jamii Organization is a CBO based in Kakamega that advocates for the rights of LBQITGNC persons. The organization aims to provide a safe space and promote equitable, inclusive and diverse opportunitie s through the promotion of access to holistic healthcare, capacity strengthening, sustainable livelihoods, climate justice and human rights advocacy.
Usawa Jamii also seeks to create awareness about sexual and gender diversity and challenge the prevailing social norms that discriminate against marginalized groups. The organization is committed to empowering LBQIGNC communities to be active participants in decision making processes that affect their lives. Usawa Jamii collaborates with other organizations and institutions to promote inclusivity and eliminate discrimination against LBQGNC individuals.
